But the significance of these actions goes much deeper. The clay soil it provided was unsuitable for growing crops or sustaining life, and so it consequently became the place where the outcast and unclaimed nobodies of life were buried. It was not coincidence that the blood of Jesus purchased that field that day. This apparent cover-up by the priests only further revealed the beauty of what God was about to accomplish thru His Son.

The conditions of this field were once our spiritual reality. About Bob Gass

I watched as the potter places the clay on the wheel and as the wheel spins the potter stretches and pulls on the clay. The hands of the potter pulls the clay up, then pushes it back down. The clay is going through this great transition all while spinning on the wheel. The potter is protecting the clay in the midst of the transition. This brings me to my reason for writing this. I want to encourage you. I want you to know that while you are on this road to becoming better, while you are on the potter's wheel, God is protecting you.

The wheel is spinning and you may at times feel a little dizzy and not sure what is happening but relax, God's got you.

The Potter's Place

God is allowing circumstances and situations to pull at you, stretch you and move you out of your comfort zone but that's okay. You may not see Him, hear Him or feel Him, but know that God is right there with you. You will have a clearer definition of God's purpose for your life. Lisa Evans-Graham. The Potter's Wheel. The lump of clay by itself will always be…. If not shaped by the Master Potter it will have no beauty or purpose. How does the Master Potter shape us? For each of us it begins to happen in different ways and at different times of our lives: God uses circumstances, people and difficulties to prepare us to be ready to yield to His loving hands. A crucial point for me was when God gave me a child. When I became pregnant I started to look at my life in a new way….

God is the Potter – We are the Clay

I was drifting through life not really sure what I believed or what my purpose was. And I knew I wanted my child to have that.

So I started by going back to church. As I look back I realize that God had placed people in my life that gave me glimpses of the Savior. God gave me a grandmother, a friend, a sister who revealed Jesus to me… bit by bit God was preparing me for the life He wanted me to have in His hands. A potter does this by pressing the clay into the center of the wheel.

He knows that once we have centered our lives on Him…. He can begin to shape us into the beautiful vessel He intends. While living a life centered on God is crucial, we rarely do this perfectly and God our Master Potter uses even our mistakes to work beautifully in our lives and in the lives of those around us.

Jeremiah Once we have done this… He begins to form us into a beautiful vessel that can be used for His purposes.

His loving and strong hands are carefully applying pressure in just the right place and at just the right time to mold and shape us into something beautiful. My grandmother was one of the people God used in my life.
